Pinhole Technique
The revolutionary, minimally invasive method for treating gum recession – no scalpel, no sutures.
What is the Pinhole Technique?
The Pinhole Surgical Technique (PST) is a patented, minimally invasive method for correcting gum recession. Unlike traditional grafting techniques, no incisions or sutures are required.
Through a tiny hole (about 2mm), the gum tissue is gently repositioned over the exposed root surfaces and stabilized with special collagen strips.
Dr. Roberto Lhotka is the first and only certified provider of the Pinhole Technique in Austria.

Understanding Gum Recession
Gum recession can result from periodontitis and, if left untreated, lead to bone loss and tooth loss. The Pinhole Technique offers a gentle alternative to traditional grafting.

Gum Recession
Exposed tooth roots from receding gums can lead to sensitivity and aesthetic concerns.

Periodontitis Treatment
The Pinhole Technique enables gentle correction without grafting or long healing time.
Important to Know
Unlike traditional grafting methods that require tissue from the palate, the Pinhole Technique works exclusively with existing gum tissue. This means no additional wound site, no pain at the donor site, and significantly faster recovery.
